Description
This vintage dress from the forties, is professionally made. The fabric is a gorgeous, slightly lustrous silk, with an extra dimension and texture, due to multiple thread slubs on the surface of the silk. The base colour is a paint brush pattern in shades of cyan – superimposed with periwinkle, yellow, off-white & green, in a garden theme. The sleeves are integrated with the bodice, forming graceful cap sleeves. The bodice features trim around the neckline, extending down to subtle peek a boo cut outs, surrounded by rhinestones. It has a layer of net, tacked in under the skirt, and a metal side zip. The skirt has a few small pinholes, noticeable when held up to the light, and the belt is not original to the dress. The label indicates it is size 14. Estimated 12. It measures bust 36″ waist 32″ hips free, and length is 42″.
