Description
Saint Laurent Rive Gauche late 1960’s or early 1970’s skirt. It measures waist 30″ hips 38″ length 32″. It is made of cotton with pleating at the top and a side zipper. The gold metallic hand embroidered accent is 7″ wide. The style, zipper and label are all consistent with late sixties or early seventies era. I am inclined to believe it is 1960’s, and would be reasonably dated between 1966-1969. The condition is very good.
Saint Laurent Rive Gauche label was launched in 1966 in a bid to democratize fashion by creating a ready to wear label for the general population. They were considered to be the first major fashion house to advance this concept.
