Description
This iconic blue Jasperware pendant or pin by Wedgwood features an ethereal angelic looking woman with flowing garments to resemble wings. In one had she is carrying flowers, or perhaps a handkerchief. In the other hand she is carrying a basket. Her head is angled to one side and looking downward. Her hair is rolled in an updo with trailing curls below. The outfit is neoclassic. It is marked on the back Wedgwood Made In England and a three character marking H74, which is great as it helps to identify and date the piece. Although the marks can be confusing it appears this one is 1874 because the H stands for the potter, and the 74 is the date. It measures 2″ x 1.5″ and is in very good condition.
