Description
This attractive little box has a holder on the top for kleenex, with a mirror inside and a hand decorated front. There is a shimmering butterfly as an MOP inlay, and the rest is hand painted. It measures 5.5″ x 4.5″ x 3.75″ high.
Yamanaka lacquerware comes in two forms: mokusei shikki, which is the traditional lacquerware made of wood, and the kindai shikki, or modern lacquerware, which consists of a urethane coating on a plastic base.
