These antique spectacles are from 9 N. Main Hutchinson Kansas. A recent newspaper article called Throwback Thursday has provided the historical background:
They small antique wire frames are in the original case, which is tattered due to age. Each lens measures 1.6″ x 1.3″. The arms are spindly wire. The case has the original Henry Zinn Label, otherwise there would be no way of identifying where these came from. They are an example of the earliest eyeglasses. We have come a long way in that regard! The case measures 5″ x 2″. The case and the glasses are intact, but they do show signs of age, as they are well over a hundred years old.
