Description
This intriguing hand crafted large vintage pendant features a carved border around the outside edges, with a more intricate scalloped pattern around the sun. The sun is a raised dome in the centre or the pendant. Below the sun it has arrow like lines, and above the sun an arched curved graphic design. It was made between 1948 and 1970 by a Mexican artisan with the initials MF. It is marked Sterling and 925, and has an open eagle stamped on the back with a number 1 inside. The open eagle was used temporarily from 1948-1960s and the number indicates it was made in Mexico City. It measures 3.25″ long x 1.75″ wide.
