Description
I believe this is an early 20th century Chinese export plate. It has the stylistic 1920’s bows around the perimeter with trumpets blowing toward the centre. This plate has heavy gold painting, and although the karat is not stated, it is laid on thick. There is some information on the back that has worn off. It definitely shows the western influence that was exported from Asia during that time frame. It measures 10.25″ in diameter. The back has red print in French & English warning not to use it for food. The other marks are worn, but a 24 is noted in one box, and a 20 in the other. Please note there is some glare from the light in certain places, that is not actually on the plate.
