Description
This detailed Inuit carving features a person sitting on a sled outside the igloo alongside a dog. There is a dead seal between the sled and the igloo. On the other side by the entrance, there are three fish. Carved in a single piece of dark mottled green stone, it measures 9.25″ x 4″. It has no maker’s marks. Purchased from a long term private collection in BC. Estimated to be 1960s or 1970s.
