Description
The Glomesh bag has a rich history in Australia and in retro looks, when in the sixties and seventies, halter tops and mini skirts, were also made out of this metal mesh. The bag is made of small squares of metal, strung together with a needle. The top portion of the bag has an accordion effect. It has a gold tone border, with the G logo on the bottom corner of the front flap. It opens to a black, satin interior, with two open side pockets. There is a burgundy folder inside, that opens to a mirror and ID card. It has the logo, and Glomesh printed on it, in gold lettering. The label inside the bag reads, Glomesh on one side, and Australia, on the other side. It measures 9 1/2″ wide x 5 1/2″ high. The drop on the black metal handle measures 18″. It is in excellent condition. The following article, describes the background and history of Glomesh.
