Description
Intriguing antique coat dress with a ruffled collar and a tie that goes around the neck to embellish the front. The dress itself overlaps with a single button under the collar and a side tie to close it. The sleeves are gathered and puff up at the shoulders Victorian style, with an extra panel of fabric to give volume. They taper down to narrow cuffs. It is lined in an ivory rayon. This dress appears to be older than 1930’s, perhaps around 1911-15. It is professionally sewn, in figure flattering panels. Size 6. It measures sleeve length 22″ bust 34″ waist 28″ and length is 54″. It is in good condition without any labels. Origin and designer unknown.
