Description
Theodora Gown, a strikingly elegant antique dress with fringed top and matching fringe angled down the length of the skirt. It has a metal side zipper and narrow black belt. It is unlined and is without fabric labels. It is a size 10. It measures bust 40″ waist 32″ hips 40″ and length is 52″. The skirt has two small repairs that are just below the fringe. Designed and made in Montreal.

This dress has a Lightening metal side zipper, which by the description of the narrow rectangular shape with Lightening printed on the pull, as well as replicated above it, and Made in Canada on the back dates it between 1932-1934. This dress came from a boutique in the upscale garment district. “According to historic editions of Lovell’s Montreal Directory, the salon was specifically located at 1453 Sherbrooke Street West.
