Description
Malcolm Starr by Youssef Rizkallah early 1970’s cocktail dress. Dresses and skirts by this designer are rare. I found a few on 1st Dibs with all but one, a beaded top left, and a couple dresses on Etsy. This dress has had a couple of minor professionally done repairs to areas that had a tiny rub or surface tear. One is on the back, and the other within the folds of the skirt. I have shown the top back prior to the repair, and a close-up after the repair. Although this dress is not in perfect condition, the issues are minor, not noticeable, making it wearable. Fortunately all the beadwork is intact. Size 10 on the label, but it is actually closer to a size 4. It measures Shoulder to shoulder 14.5″, Bust 32″ Waist 26″ Length 32-33″ Sleeves 21″. It is lined. Made in USA. Youssef Rizkallah designed dresses for Malcolm Starr between 1969 and 1975. Because of the small repairs, I have placed it in the Fair condition category.
