Description
The Yves Saint Laurent variation line was a more affordable diffusion line created by YSL in the 1980’s. The bottom portion of the label was removed by a previous owner, which was apparently common with this line because the label was scratchy. “The “Scratchy Tag” Cut: On this specific 1980s Variation label, the bottom portion originally featured a white fabric attachment detailing the size, fabric content (100% Wool), and “Made in France” or “Made in Italy.” These lower tags were often stiff, long, and notoriously scratchy. It was incredibly common for the original owners to snip them off for comfort.” It has a metal Eclair side zipper and domed black button “Éclair zippers are legendary French-made fasteners heavily used by luxury houses like YSL, Dior, and Chanel throughout the mid-to-late 20th century.” It is size 42 on the label. It measures Waist 28″ Hips 40″ Length 24″. Circa 1980’s. Country of origin Italy or France based on research for this line. Condition is good.
