Description
Ruffled black lace on blue rubber, with a flower and rhinestone on the top – this rubber swim cap is the most unusual one I have ever seen. It is labeled Keinerts Olympic Sava-Wave Made in USA. Originally I thought this cap was from the thirties or forties, but given the label and history of rubber swim caps, it is more likely early fifties. They were not made in the forties due to the war rations. In the twenties they had aviator-like chin straps. In any case, decorated swim caps are among the least likely to survive the test of time. This one is in great condition.
