Description
This is another wonderful Lilly Dache design in a vibrant blue-green colour, with a ribbon and a tilted brim. This wearable hat is now a one-of-a-kind authentic example of an iconic mid-century fashion design. When Lilly Dache resigned in 1968, singer Loretta Lynn is said to have bought the last remaining twenty five hats that were made by this talented designer. The Lilly Dache hats in the Quiet West Vintage collection have been stored for about thirty years. It measures 7″ in diameter. The condition is good overall. It is made of a furry wool felt – with an upturned brim lined with grosgrain ribbon. There is a 1 1/2″ wide band in contrasting colours, with a stylized bow on one side, and a covered button accent. The crown is sewn together in pieces, to make it roomy and deep. There is a small mark (discolouration) on the band, and some discolouration on the inside brim.
