The leopard has made its comeback in fashion many times. The peak time for fashionable leopard clothing, hats and jewellery was most notably in the sixties. This weighty necklace is made to the same quality as Dior, Nina Ricci and Oscar de la Renta. It has an O ring clasp and measures 15″ long flat. The leopard is 1 1/2″ long with inset crystals, black spots that look like onyx, and glimmering green eyes. There is corrosion on the inside portion of the clasp from the weight of the necklace. There is a J.L. Aldenkamp triangle shaped maker’s mark, which is a high end mid-century jewelry maker from the Netherlands. Overall, it is in very good condition.
