Description
This layered pin is exceptionally well made with rows of round cut stones outlined with angled marquise cut stones. It has a silver rhodium backing. Although there are unsigned Sherman pieces, I do not claim it is Sherman. The only time an unsigned Sherman can be verified for certain, is if it is with a set and some of the other pieces are signed. I believe that with many different mid-century designers when parures were popular, some pieces of the set were signed and when separated, the unsigned pieces were no longer verifiable. Another way to verify an unsigned piece, is if you locate it in vintage advertising, and can determine if it is exactly the same style and dimensions. This pin measures 2.5″ x 1.75″ and is in excellent condition.
