PT Princeton 1960’s Gorgeous Jacquard Silk Blouse With Covered Buttons

PT Princeton gorgeous jacquard silk blouse that is difficult to date. It features vibrant silk patterns with sateen highlights, and silk covered buttons. There is not much historical background on this brand. There was a Princeton Taylor out of the US, and in the 1960’s a bespoke tailor with a similar name in Hong Kong. This blouse has small shoulder pads, which provides and attachment point for the wide sleeves that are pleated at the shoulder. It is collarless with a slight scoop and a band around the neckline. There are two covered buttons on each cuff. The most notable thing about this blouse is the incredible silk fabric, with the range of colours and variations in the patterns. Dating it has been a challenge with AI placing it in the late 1930’s, however I am not convinced, and lean toward late 60’s early 70’s. Size 8 on label. It measures Shoulder to shoulder 15″ Bust 38″ Waist 36″ Length 25″ Sleeves 23″. It is in good condition. No country of origin on the label, and no signs that any tags were removed.
