The Aging Wolf

The Aging Wolf

Cool blue smoke – will choke

The wolf has lost his cloak.

Teeth are falling out,

Eyes are filled with doubt

Slowly going blind –

In the tatters of his mind

Stares into the looking glass,

As smoke and mirrors pass.

He withers in retreat,

He slithers in the heat.

The skies soon clear

His prey lose fear ~

He lacks senses to rescind

Like a vapour in the wind.
